Beginning Machine QuiltingIf you would like to learn to machine quilt, this is the class for you! The instructor will provide tips and strategies that will also assist someone who has done some machine quilting improve their skills. The basic strategies of successful cutting, machine piecing, machine quilting, and binding will be shared. If the student does the "homework," a completed "Yellow Brick Road" quilt will be finished by the last night of class. You will need a sewing machine in good working order. Tools and fabric requirements will be discussed the first night of class.

Class Meets: 6 sessions Monday 2/6-3/19-No Class 2/20 6:00-9:00 P.M. Instructor-----Lisa Pluth Tuition-----$80 Fee---$8 payable to instructor 1st night Supply Fee: There will be an $8 supply fee for the first project payable 1st night of class.

This class will cover the elements of simple garment making including,
taking measurements, blind hems,
collars, sleeves, waistbands, darts, shortening or lengthening a garment
and other skills used in sewing
clothing. Students will need to bring their own sewing machine and will
be responsible for the supplies
needed for their individual sewing project. You will complete 2 or
3 projects depending on the garments chosen.
This class will NOT cover the elements
from beginning sewing but
will expand on that knowledge.
Students don't need to have attended the 1st level but will need to posses
those skills in order to
successfully complete this class. There won't be a supply fee
as students will be responsible for the
supplies for their individual projects.
