History of the Ozarks This course is designed to provide information about the history of our local area. Students are sure to find great good fun and historical "learning" in this class.The instructor is Jim Barrett, an Ozark journalist/historian for 45 years, best known for his approximately 800 "History Of Here" articles published regionally and nationwide. From prehistory to "The Landing", the Mid-Ozarks has been the historical scene of fascinating cultures, sociological/financial invasions, and colorful change! Native or newbie, come, learn, and share about the Mid-Ozarks.
Antiques 101 Jim Wright will talk about buying and selling antiques and collectibles. He will also dispel rumors of what is fact or not in the collecting world. Jim has appeared with several of the PBS “Antiques Roadshow" appraisers.
