What is computer technology?

The Computer Technology Management program provides students with a wide range of knowledge and learning experiences in the field of computer technology. This course instructs students in the basics of computer technology, then encourages further exploration of advanced disciplines.

Computer Technology Management is a one-year or two-year course for high school students.

 

 

Interests and Skills

A student should be interested in seeking employment in the computer field or be college bound with plans to seek further training in computer technology. Courses in math, science, physics, and typing would be helpful in preparation for this course.

  • Good skills in math and reading
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good hand eye coordination

Computer technology is one of the most exciting, fastest growing, and broadest career fields in the world today. There are many specialized areas in the overall heading of computer technology. Technicians, specialists and programmers are at the forefront of today’s fast-paced technical revolution.
